Zodiac Training

These courses are specifically designed for these who need to use Zodiac style inflatable boats with outboard engines.  We are finding more and more that organisations running Zodiac style boats for expeditions  are requiring more formal training for their staff and we have worked closely with the various Expedition cruise companies to create an informative and certified training course.

We have two matched Zodiac Milpro 585 HD and powered with Yamaha engines.  These are incredibly robust and capable vessels and designed to take groups of people into shallow areas that are difficult to access.

For those individuals who are less experienced in using Zodiacs then you can choose the four day 'Zodiac Operator Training' option.  This is based around the RYA Powerboat Level 2 training course, and includes further elements of training which are more specific to Zodiacs and managing groups of individuals in remote areas.

For anyone who already holds an RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate and is experienced driving Zodiacs then you can choose the 'Zodiac Advanced option'.  This 4 course is based around the RYA Tender operator course and  on successful completion candidates will be issued with this certificate.  Please note that some elements of this course will take place in MCA coded RIBS.

1:1 tuition available: For anyone who would like to reduce contact with other candidates or who would like to spend the course with an instructor specifically targeting their training requirements.  There is an additional fee for this and prices are not on the website, so please contact us for further details.

All Zodiac courses can be delivered in our vessel from our base in Edinburgh.  Alternatively we can deliver most training on your boats, or we can take our boats to an alternative location in Europe and deliver training on your preferred site.   Please contact us for more information and for a quote.
